He served without hesitation for six years. During his time served he was deployed 1240 times, had 9 criminal apprehensions, 130 give ups, 370 SWAT Deployments. He recorded over 1.7 million dollars worth of narcotics seizures to include 22 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop, 16 pounds of Methamphetamine during a traffic stop, 12 pounds of Black Tar heroin during a traffic stop, and several 3 pound finds of various narcotics on traffic stops and search warrants, along with hundreds of other user amounts. Taz worked along side several local agencies to include Fountain Police Department and RRT, Colorado Springs Police Department, Calhan Police Department, Monument Police Department, Manitou Springs Police Department, FBI, DEA, ATF, Metro VNI, Fort Carson CID, Air Force Academy as well a Presidential Detail. Taz was one of the most successful and influential K9s to work for the Sheriff’s Office to date.
