Rook

K9 Rook came from Slovakia in August of 2019. He was trained as a dual purpose, patrol/narcotics canine with New Castle County Police Department, Delaware. He was designated as a single purpose canine in 2023 and was retired by the department, January 2024, where he would learn to love the joy of retirement life with his handler. Rook loves to play fetch and will insistently drop his kong on your feet and lap. He hasn’t met a treat he doesn’t like and will try to snatch up any dropped food, don’t leave your steak unattended. Secondary to fetch, he likes to go hiking on the local trails and harass, Raina, the other dog he resides with. He’s discovered his social side in retirement and has decided being a lap dog is where it’s at…all 85 lbs of him.
