K9 Jäger served as a dual purpose, patrol and narcotics, dog for the Haverford Township Police Department, certified by NAPWDA. Jäger loved narcotics work and was involved in numerous narcotics investigations and arrests. Though his least favorite work was tracking, he was involved in tracking down and apprehending a bank robber that fled from police and was awarded two commendations for his role in the arrest. After serving only two years, Jäger was diagnosed with lumbosacral disease and spinal stenosis, which led to his retirement. Jäger’s outgoing and sociable personality had him loved by all members of his department and the public. After retirement, Jäger has been spoiled as a “puppy”, living his best life. Jäger loves to be outside, whether just lounging around, watching the neighbors or playing. Jäger loves to play un-build a bear with all of his new stuffed toys. Though Jäger is 12 years old now, his puppy personality always shows through.
