Flora

K9 Flora was born in Mexico from Low Buff Kennels and at the age if 6 months was given to Puppies Behind Bars where she received her initial obedience training in order to become a service dog. Originally a service dog for a veteran, K9 Flora was well trained in obedience and searching techniques that were groomed to her future handler. When the handler did not work out, K9 Flora was given to The Westchester County Department of Public Safety and was trained in the search for explosives. K9 Flora loves to play with her stuffed toys which has used for years as a pacifier. She was trained as a food reward K9 and still is very responsive to her commands. She is one of four dogs in her family, the other three being Great Pyrenees. She has served the government of Westchester with dignitary searches during many visits to the New York area. She loves to lay in the hot sun during the summer days, loves putting her head under water in her pool and loves playing with her brothers and sisters.
