Barni

Barni was a certified explosives detection canine and was assigned to Ofc. Michelle Cole at the Portland, Maine, Police Department from 2018 until their retirement in 2023. In that time, Barni worked numerous VIP details, special events, mass gatherings, and calls for service. Barni worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed hiking mountains with his handler in his prime. He was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease in 2021, continuing to work through until he retired with his handler in 2023. He now lives a full life of laziness and sass at home with the family.
