Artie

Artie worked for the MTA police K-9 unit from 2018-2023. In his tenure, he was a dual purposes trained canine covering the Long Island Railroad, Metro North, Grand Central, Penn Station and Staten Island rapid transit. He has traveled and worked at many different stations all over New York and Connecticut. Although he looks mean, he was and continues to be the biggest goofball. He will do anything for a chuck it ball or a Kirkland dog treat. Now that Artie is retired, he takes his retirement very seriously. Whether it’s making sure the neighbors know he’s home by barking, laying on the front lawn, going for walks or picking one of his beds for cuddles and pets- he still always is working and wants to have fun
