Jayden

Jayden is a retired explosive detection dog who proudly served with the U.S. Capitol Police from 2017 to 2025. A spirited black Labrador Retriever with endless energy and an unmatched work ethic, Jayden was always eager to jump into action, tail wagging and nose to the ground. Known for his happy demeanor and love for the job, he brought both skill and joy to every shift. Now enjoying a well-earned retirement, Jayden spends his days playing in the yard with his new brother, Merlin, chasing toys, soaking up attention, and simply being close to people—the thing he loves most. Though he’s hung up his badge, Jayden’s dedication, loyalty, and cheerful spirit continue to brighten the lives of everyone around him.
