Chewie

Chewie has been a certified Explosives Detection Canine since September of 2016. His first deployment was for a security detail for G.W. Bush while he was visiting a USO function the day after his certification and ne never looked back. Chewie has served on hundreds of deployments in Colorado to include post-blast investigations, homemade explosive laboratories, explosives recoveries, local and federal search warrants, protective details for Presidents and Presidential candidates, and countless special event and VIP details. Chewie has five live finds in his career including assisting federal law enforcement with explosives investigations. He has also performed numerous public K9 demonstrations and his friendly disposition has made him a favorite for presentations involving children and families. Chewie has also become a fixture of our home and another member of the family. He eagerly greets all the visitors to our house and immediately flops on his back for a belly scratch.
