K9 Dyno is a male German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix imported from Hungary in 2018. K9 Dyno was imported to Shallow Creek Kennel in Pennsylvania before being purchased by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. K9 Dyno and his Handler, Deputy Bell, completed a 14 week patrol school and successfully passed the New York State DCJS K9 Certification which consists of Obedience, Tracking, Building Searches, Area Searches, and Criminal Apprehension. Dyno and Deputy Bell then completed a 6 week Nitrate course and completed another New York State DCJS Certification. Dyno has had been a part of numerous critical incidents and has assisted on hundreds of K9 jobs throughout Monroe County, assisting every law enforcement agency throughout the county over the course of his career. Dyno has had dozens of successful tracks, locating numerous missing persons and suspects. K9 Dyno has also located 6 firearms used in crimes, dozens of spent casings, and has apprehended six suspects through bites. K9 Dyno has also conducted numerous mass gathering and VIP searches at local colleges and universities as well as nitrate searches for the Buffalo Bills Training Camp, and the LPGA and PGA. Dyno has been an extremely successful and valued member of the Monroe County Sheriff’s K9 Unit and is currently enjoying his time in retirement.
