Luna

K-9 Luna was born in Holland and completed her training and certification in Explosives Detection through Gold Coast K-9, alongside her handler Officer Anna Perez. During her service with the Federal Reserve Bank Police Department, Luna played a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the property through perimeter, building and vehicle inspections and was instrumental in the discovery of several firearms and magazines, as well identifying suspicious packages. Aside from operational duties, Luna also served as an ambassador for the department by participating in numerous community events including Family Day, Pride, and a Christmas present delivery for Oakland High School, demonstrating her impressive obedience and detection capabilities while helping foster positive relationships between the community and law enforcement. Luna is now enjoying retirement and spending her days playing fetch and hide-and-seek, camping, swimming, and basking in the sunshine.
