Roby

K9 Roby is a 9 1/2-year-old Belgian Malinois Shepard mix. K9 Roby began working for the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office in 2017, receiving his initial training from I-80 K9 in Atlantic, Iowa. K9 Roby was partnered with Sgt. Andrew Wake for his entire service with Fremont County. During his career, K9 Roby was integral in multiple arrests and seizures, including, one arrest where over 33lb of methamphetamine was recovered. K9 Roby was also responsible for the recovery of over $100,000 in stolen property, including stolen tools, vehicles, and motor homes. In 2020 K9 Roby received HAPDA Patrol Case of the Year for his part in subduing an armed suspect in a standoff with law enforcement. K9 Roby was retired in May of 2024 and currently lives with Sgt. Wake and his family.
