Miles was born in Europe. The federal government did not provide the country or city. He obtained his initial training at Lakeland Airforce base in San Antonio Texas graduating the end of September 2020. His early days working at the Colorado Springs Airport were a little trying because he thought everyone was his best friend and every crumb of food on the ground he thought was left for him. Once he overcame these obstacles he was great.

With Miles being a lab and a good looking boy all of the travelers and airport employees were drawn to him. He became very focused when it was time to work ignoring people. He knew his job was to keep the flying public safe, walking through the airport, searching items brought onto the airport property, and searching unattended items left sitting by the flying public. He has a great nose that made him shine against other explosive detection K-9’s. He passed his annual certifications that were stressful to the handler. He missed out on special events like working at a superbowl because of airport staffing. He loved going to work before retiring in May of 2024 due the the Colorado Springs Airport choosing to not renew the contract with TSA.

Miles is bored in retirement but is doing well. His reward while training was a large tennis ball. If any tennis ball is left with him he will destroy it. He needs to be monitored with any chewable items. His nose still goes into the air when he catches a new smell
