Handler: Matthew Warren Breed: German Shepherd DOB: 2/14/2019 Department: Connecticut State Police Function: Patrol, Search and Rescue, Cadaver, Fire and Water Recovery Years Worked: 11/2019 – 05/2024 K-9 Maxx #9003 was born in February 2019 and entered into service with the Connecticut State Police in November 2019. Trooper Warren trained K-9 Maxx who graduated from the Connecticut State Police K-9 Academy and K9 Search and Rescue Academy. He immediately impacted lives and families throughout the state. During K-9 Maxx’s career, he was responsible for numerous lives saved, suspects tracked, located, and arrested, deceased bodies recovered, and evidence recovered for high profile cases within surrounding cities and towns. K-9 Maxx engaged in community events and was adored by children and adults alike. K-9 Maxx gave 4.5 years of service to the state of Connecticut, and retired due to his handler being promoted to Sergeant. K-9 Maxx is currently enjoying his retirement.
