Axel has certified in the detection of 5 illegal drugs, tracking and evidence recovery 10 times in his 8 year career. He has been instrumental in the discovery of evidence in severe person crimes and his work has contributed to the prosecution of many violent offenders. Axel was awarded the second place for Detector Dog of the year through the Heart of America Police Dog Association in 2019. He worked faithfully up until the day of his retirement in 2022.
